In 1998 I realized my childhood dream turning my passion for foreign languages into a profession. Since I was a teenager, this passion had taken me beyond Italy's borders. From 1985 to 2006, my personal and professional path was marked by several stays abroad - in Germany, England, France and Spain - for study- and work-related purposes.
Translating means writing, or rather rewriting. Before being a "writer", the translator is primarily a "message interpreter". To interpret the message of the source texts, it is not enough for translators to have a perfect command of their native language, they also need in-depth knowledge of different languages, cultures, mentalities, customs and traditions, and of course of one or more specific fields.
My areas of specialization are IT, marketing, public relations, journalism, law and business/commerce. In addition to translation and proofreading/editing, I offer software and website localization, interpreting, language consultancy and international secretarial services, as well as online language courses. I provide companies and individuals the same quality of service as agencies do, with more benefits in terms of time and cost.
In April 2007 I became member of A.I.T.I., the Italian Translators and Interpreters Association. Later, I joined BDÜ, the German Interpreters and Translators Association.
